Pontarlier Anis

Pontarlier-Anis was first distilled in Pontarlier in 1921 after the good old favourite, Absinthe, forbidden by French law in 1915, was considered dangerous, as it was claimed to cause madness and various crimes.

Sarl Distillerie Pierre GUY, Pontarlier produce a range of Anis products such as: Eau De Vie (brandy), Cream of Cassis, Kirsch and various Liqueurs.

The distillery is open to the public for tastings Tuesday through Saturday from:

08:00 to 12:00  & 14:00 to 18:00

Coach parties are advised that they should pre-arrange in order to avoid disappointment.
